⭐ Founder Story — Grown Ass Man Merch Co. -Carry Heavy, Walk Light.  ⭐

I'm Nicole, the founder of Grown Ass Man Merch company; mom to two awesome people, sister, auntie, cousin, friend.  

Grown Ass Man Merch Co. started during a different entrepreneurial project I was working on that required a lot of self-directed work, consistency, and handling things I did not want to do.  I made the joke that I needed to wear my Grown Ass Man hat as a motivational tool.  The figurative hat evolved into a physical hat that I would wear on days when mustering up the will was more difficult.  Starting a company from grass roots takes a whole lot of resilience and discipline.  So now, it's not unusual for me to say:  
“Well… guess I’ll wear the grown ass man hat today.” 

As a single woman and mom, I have had to bear the burden of much of the responsibility.  This lifestyle is second nature to me at this point but developed out of necessity for survival and providing for my family.  To look back on all that I have accomplished single handedly inspires me to continue learning and growing, and curiously I desire to know just how deep this potential runs.  

The phrase "Grown Ass Man" means:

You show up.
You stay accountable.
You work hard.
Even when it’s inconvenient.
Even when you’d rather not.
Even when you’re figuring it out as you go.

That mindset became the spark behind Grown Ass Man Merch Co. ⭐a lifestyle and motivation brand built to empower the doers, the self-starters, and the “I’ll figure it out myself” crowd, even with uncertainty and fear.  The graphics represent the inner insecurities we don't speak of, the text represents the hard outer shell that we put forth. 

Our mission:

Create merch that motivates people to take action—
to fix it, try it, lift it, build it, launch it, learn it, or do it anyway, even if it scares you.

Every hat and piece of apparel is designed as a badge of honor for people who rely on themselves. People who know that confidence comes from trying, not waiting. From showing up, not hoping. From doing the thing, not talking about it.

From breweries to gyms, from farms to workshops, from college campuses to construction sites, our hats have one job:
to remind you that you are fully capable of handling whatever the day throws at you.  

The vision:

Grown Ass Man Merch Co. has a vision to launch the grown ass man project working as a subsidiary to make donations on behalf of people stuck in the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck but could change their lives with just a deposit on a new apartment or a cheap new car.  Through this project, people become "Grown Ass Men" (and women) of course.
